Screenit Image Resizer ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Screenit Chrome extension and the getscreenit.com website collect, how it is used, and the choices you have.

1. The Screenit extension

The Screenit extension processes every screenshot, image and edit entirely on your device, inside your browser. We do not operate a server that receives, stores, or processes your images. Nothing you capture, resize, or beautify is ever uploaded to us or to a third party.

2. Permissions and why we need them

The extension requests the minimum permissions required to capture a region of the active tab, read images you explicitly open with Screenit, and save the result to your downloads folder. It does not read browsing history, form data, or page content beyond the region you select.

3. Local storage

Your preferences (last-used preset, default format, quality slider position, theme) are stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local. They never leave your device and can be cleared by uninstalling the extension.

4. The %domain% website

When you visit our website we may set a small number of cookies for installation tracking, attribution, and to remember basic preferences. We may use third-party analytics and advertising services that set their own cookies. No personally identifying information is collected without your consent.

5. Third-party services

The extension itself does not embed third-party trackers or analytics. The website may load fonts, scripts, or advertising pixels from third-party providers, each governed by their own privacy policies.

6. Children

Screenit is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the extension or website after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
